Bergholz Evangelical Records

Hello,
I am looking for records from the villages of Pampow, Menkin and Penkun near Bergholz.
Would I need the Bergholtz (Evangelical) Records.
I can find the French Reformed records from Bergholz but not the Evangelical.
Am I correct in thinking they are not online?

Many thanks,
Nettie

Hello Nettie.

When you i.e. check this website, you’ll learn that an Evangelical church in Bergholz was built between 1862 and 1864

…and due to data protection I‘d not expect to see such records and younger here any time soon.

More about the history of Bergholz and the Huguenot settlement can be found here

Greetings, Vera

For the Lutheran parish registers of Bergkolz see this post:

But the villages you mentioned can't be found in Bergholz.

Menkin and Penkun belong to Brüssow. I think the registers are not online here at Archion, but you might find some information here:

Unfortunately only for a short time frame in the 19th century.

There are at least two villages called Pampow. I assume you mean the one close to Blankensee.

It belonged to Stolzenburg or, more exact, to the parish of Blankensee.

Menkin and Penkun belong to Brüssow. I think the registers are not online here at Archion, but you might find some information here:

No, they aren't because they are no part of the holdings of the ELAB.

Please also note the "Quellenhinweis" [Source] for the above linked "Ortsfamilienbuch Brüssow"

The holdings of the Landeshauptarchiv Brandenburg may be of some interest at least - although: nothing is or will be online available
