Lesenhilfen - Birth record for Johann Friedrich Schmidt in Romhild

I am researching the birth record of Johann Friedrich Schmidt in Romhild and believe this might be his record. His parents marriage record are listed as Johann Frederich Schmidt and Susanna Maria (I cannot decipher his last name.) Could someone please help me determine if this is the correct record and the details please. It appears his parents may have been married after his birth.

Kind regards, Rhonda

Baptism: Parents are Michael Friedrich Schmid (a soldier) and Margaretha Schneider
Marriage: Johann Friedrich Schmidt (a clerk) and Susanna Maria Kessel

So this seem to be two different couples.

Thank you so much for your help. Though now I am more confused, Johann Friedrich Schmidt born in 1768 listed Johann Friedrich Schmidt as his father (no mother was listed) this was translated earlier on these pages for me. The father was also listed as a soldier, which Michael Friedrich Schmidt was, but not Johann Friedrich Schmidt who was a clerk. It also looks like Johann Friedrich and Michael Friedrich may have the same father, Nicolai. Was the name of the father confused possibly?
Here is the translation for the Johann Friedrich Schmidt marriage born around 1768-69

Date of marriage, publicly in the church [in Römhild]: Tuesday, May 14, 1793, at 2 p.m.
after 3 announcements of marriage

Groom:
Johann Friedrich Schmidt, a citizen [in Römhild] and member of the noble book printer guild, the surviving legitimate eldest son
of the late Johann Friedrich Schmidt, a former Lieutenant of the Ducal Saxon Corps / Company at this place

Bride:
The maiden Maria Magdalena Christiana Schmidt, the only legitimate daughter of the citizen and master tailor at this place [Römhild] Johann Georg Schmidt

Nicolaus Schmidt, father of Johann Friedrich Schmidt: deceased before 1769, "Amtsdiener zu Ebersdorff" (clerk at Saalburg -Ebersdorf)
Nicolaus Schmidt, father of Michael Friedrich Schmidt: deceased before 1764, musician and member of the council in Gleicherwiesen (Römhild)

Not the same person ....

The marriage provided by user722 seem to be the parents of the Johann Friedrich born in 1767. The birth record states that the father was captain of the local militia, which he could be in addition to his normal professsion as "Handelsmann".

Here the birth of their first daughter:

The father's profession reads as "Fähndrich bey der hiesigen Land-Compagnie, Handelsman und Bürgers allhier" (officer cadet at the local militia, merchant and citizen here).

So it could be, that the priest used the wrong name at the wedding of your Johann Friedrich Schmidt. The father probably should be Michael Friedrich Schmidt instead of Johann Friedrich Schmidt.

To be sure try to find other siblings and the death record of the father and mother, as well as records of other Schmidts in Römhild.

Thank for your suggestions. So from my research, the additional children for Michael Friedrich Schmidt are:
Carl Friedrich Andreas Schmidt baptized on 24 Sep 1770 http://www.archion.de/p/aa389106be/
Frederica Schmidt baptized on 19 Jan 1772 http://www.archion.de/p/b9f6bd503c/
Also, I think I found the death of Michael Friedrich Schmidt - in July 1786 http://www.archion.de/p/c32acaacab/ The entry appears to have the same references to his military position.
I also found a death for Joh. Nicol. Schmidt, on 3 Feb 1759 (7). From the description, is this the father described above that is the father of Michael Friedrich Schmidt? http://www.archion.de/p/129ea6f974/
Any details from these entries would be much appreciated.

does not belong in this family, as the name is Joh. Nickol. Sander, not Schmidt

Thank you for your help and the transcription. I have been unable to find the widow's death so far but will continue to look.
However, I did find another Schmidt that appear to be related to this family.
This is the death of Johanna Friederica, the daughter of Susana Rosina Friederica Schmidt, I believe Susanna is the 1st daughter of Michael Frederich Schmidt. If I could find any details and age of death Thank you.

Is this entry the birth record for Michael Frederich Schmidt, father Nicolas Schmid? Are there any other helpful detail I can glean from this entry? Am I correct that the birth date is 4 October 1721? Thank you.

Herr Michael Friedrich Schmidt, Bürger und Handelsmann alhier …
und Jungfer Eva Margaretha Schneiderin …
were married here: http://www.archion.de/p/1c7c47eb8b/
on ♂︎ (=Dienstag) den 22 ten May ⟨1764⟩
Am I correct that the father's name is Johann Valentine Schneider? Aside from his position as burger (citizen) what was his profession and was he alive at the time? I do not see the word "weyland" usually used for a deceased person?

Thank you.

I don't see any baptisms here - only funerals!

It says: 12) Herr Michael Friedrich Schmidt, Bürger und Handelsmann

leiblicher 4ter Sohn, und die Jungfer Eva Margareta

post Domin: Cantate bey einem gehaltenen Solemnen Kirchgang
allhier öffentlich copuliret worden.

Herr Michael Friedrich Schmidt was a citizen and trader/merchant, the 4th legitimate son of the deceased musician Nicolaus Schmidt. Nicolaus Schmidt additionally had two social functions: Mitnachbar and Zwölfer. I'm not familiar with this region, so some specialists would be needed to explain those. I'm only guessing: the Zwölfer might be a member of the local council. For Mitnachbar, I looked up Wikipedia but that was not very helpful:
