Solnhoffen, Wettlesheim

Hello Church book forum Bayern

I am looking to find where the Church books are for Solnhoffen and Wettelsheim. I am having great success with most of the books. I am researching the Imler/Immler family from the Weissenburg Pappenheim area.
I have a lot of information from the Weissenburg area but need to access the Wettlesheim books to finish my research.
Any help, many thanks in advance from

Hi Walter,

in Archion you will only find digitized church registers from the superregional archives of the Lutheran/Protestant Church - in the case of Solnhofen and Wettelsheim the archive of the Lutheran Church of the state of Bavaria, located in Nuremberg.
But the registers are not necessarily given to the archive - the local parishes can keep them in their own possession. For example, from the town of Fuerth (near Nuremberg) two of three churches in town (St. Michael and St. Paul) did transfer their registers to the archive, the third (Auferstehungskirche) did not.

The archive has a website: http://www.archiv-elkb.de/
and you can look up the list of the church registers in the Nuremberg archive here http://www.archiv-elkb.de/sites/www.archiv-elkb.de/files/Kirchenbücher im LAELKB_24_11_15.pdf

Neither Solnhofen nor Wettelsheim does appear in the list, so all the registers should still be in their "native" parish.

In many cases, the local parish offices are very helpful. I got good photocopies of christening and burial records of three of my ancestors from Auferstehungskirche in Fuerth for a small fee.

Regards
Susanne
