If so, your Mary Roth had a brother, Fredrick Roth.
In case you are able to confirm that, then please check the 1870 Census for her brother and please note that his place of birth is provided as Darmstadt which is situated in Hessia, Germany.
Again, as User "eggi" already said: you need to provide way more information than you already did in order to have a realistic chance at all to perhaps locate your GG-Grandmother's place of birth.
