Where might Ellerbek records be found?

In a Schönkirchen (near Kiel, Schleswig-Holstein) marriage record, it says that the husband is a backer in Ellerbek. I am looking for birth records from 1875-1880 to see if I can find the births of their children, as the family did not seem to stay in Schönkirchen, the wife's home parish. Can anyone direct me as to where I could find records for Ellerbek?

Thank you for your suggestions. I had tried both of those avenues, but there records in Kiel-Ellerbek don't cover the time period I need. I also wasn't 100% certain if Ellerbek was a small part of a parish (like Alt Heikendorf is in Schönkirchen) or if it was a parish all its own. Thank you for your responses!

Hmmm, then you may try to check the names indexes / registers for civil records (Personenstandsregister) of Kiel.

Some way down that website is a section titled "Namenssuche in Registern" divided into 3 sections: Sterbebücher (death records), Geburtenbücher (birth records) and Heiratsbücher (marriage records).

Clicking on any of these opens a new web site, i.e. this one

There you'll find a field labeled "Standesamt" = registry office >> enter Ellerbek into that field and you'll get a list of all names registered there.
